It is with great sadness that the big guy sat between myself and Paul Furness has passed after a short but unsuccessful fight against cancer that started just 2 days before our match against Cape Town CC. Ian Beachie bowled 5 overs for just 18 runs god bless him. Roger Moult, the CTCC club captain, tells me that he was a solid rock of Cape Town cricket. RIP Ian.
