Match report North London CC won the toss and elected to bat. Goodchild and Batcock got them off to a flying start with GOddchild particularly harsh on the short legside boundary. J Baker bowled extremely well and got batcock caught by the captain B Wakeford at short leg. Wakeford then removed Goodchild with an inswinging yorker and then repeated the trick to clean bowl Najib playing no stroke. North London's momentum never really recovered, mainly due to a great spell of legspin bowling from Peter Monar, and some canny flight from Michael Leighton at the end. Young Jordan Malik showed great maturity to hold the innings together, and Amhad Zahoor hit some lusty blows, but 180 was unlikely to be a winning score on a good North London Wicket.
So it proved as Moeser and Kee put on well over 100 for the first wicket. Incogniti looked on for a ten wicket win. Indeed some of the members (captain included) had been tucking into the port in celebration somewhat prematurely. A flurry of wickets to Jordans impressive medium pace meant that pads had to be hurredly put on. It was left to the veteran Michael Leighton to finish the job off. Special Mention to Damian Moeser who scored a mightily impressive 84 not out while chaos ensued at the other end (Kee aside). In the end it was still a comfortable victory for Incogniti and another enjoyable day for all.
