Match report Incogs lost the toss on a damp morning in Mill Hill and were asked to bat first.

The opening Cooke and Gildenhuys bowled well on a seaming wicket and despite resistance from Hoyle and Furness, Incogs soon found themselves 23-3. It got even worse when Isadore was introduced into the attack, with Saeed, Chakrabarti and Wakeford B all losing their wickets with the score stuck on 27!!

At 27-6 an early finish seemed all but inevitable. Bowry restored a semblance of respectability to the score with a well crafted 29 (including a mighty six off spinner Johal. Skipper Tom Wakeford hung around for 10, and finally in the nick of time Neil Gill, who had been late in arriving, got his pads on and helped Incogs crawl past the 100 mark in 37 overs. All out for 101 though, was not going to be easy to defend.

The Wakeford brothers opened up the bowling and despite being economical could not make the breakthrough. A double-wicket maiden from Whyte (3-34) gave some hope, but the schoolboys, thanks to an outstanding 65 from their skipper McDougall, won by 5 wickets in 25 overs.

Incogs will return next year hoping to vanquish the memory of a poor batting display.
