Dear Member
As you may well realise already, 2011 will represent the Club's 150th Anniversary. This is no mean achievement for any club, but is certainly remarkable for a wandering club.
Your committee is determined to make the Club's year memorable. A sub-committee under the chairmanship of Peter Crowcroft will arrange a series of events during this anniversary year - an outline of which is enclosed- to include cricket, golf and social events. The Club feels that these events must be run to the high standard that club members are used to and expect.
You will realise therefore that 2011 will be an expensive year - so part of the sub-committee's brief is to raise funds, to add to the Club’s, so that we may do ourselves justice on and off the field both at home and abroad.
With this in mind you will see details of the Club's Anniversary Draw. May I commend early participation in this to you as 2011 is now just around the corner.
2011 will be a landmark in the Club's history and I am confident that members everywhere will support the Club enthusiastically along with the celebratory events being organised.
